Q4 and Q5 part 2

To get some target audience feedback, we asked two other media students some questions about what they thought about our thriller. The comments we received were mainly positive, and was helpful for us to understand what was good, and not so good about our opening.

Q1

Question 1: in which ways did we develop/challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Unfortunately, unless I upgraded on this website it does not let me put pictures next to the writing in which I was talking about. So now I will put screen grabs from my thriller opening to illustrate what I am referring to.

Roles and responsibilities

  • To play a role in our production so far, I have stared in the film as Iya a long side with Rae, (the runner) whilst Niamh did most of the camera work. My role had to change because Courtney left, originally, I was going to do the main camera work a with Niamh, however instead I had to play Iyra. However I did contribute to some camera angles that were filmed.
  • Me and Rae did my makeup for the thriller, we had a rough idea of what we wanted Iyra to look like. However we had to keep applying it through out the day. Our main aim was to make me look pale, we used talcum powder and created bags under my eyes using eye shadow.
  • Niamh mainly did the editing, however me and Rae helped by finding her resources she needed. For example we tried to look how to do a word jumble on the internet, but we couldn't find any videos on YouTube. In the end someone showed us how to it, so it turned out okay.
  • Rae did the editing of the sound, however I helped with choosing which sounds to use and when.
  • We all had a say in what we wanted to happen in our thriller. For example we all contributed towards the one page pitch and the screenplay. We all agreed on where to film our thriller (locko plantation), which was for the best as it gave a more real feel to it.
  • It was easy for us to communicate about what we was going to do in lesson, therefore made it easier for us to get the opening finished in time.
  • We would all stay behind at lunch to finish bits and pieces off, therefore we were committed to our opening and met the deadline as we all played different roles in the process.

Something went wrong with my email so the website wouldn't let me share it, so instead I have had to screen shot it and post it like this instead. Sorry guys.
